I was watching "Alan Jackson" sing the song "Where I Come From" last night and started wondering if maybe any dissatisfaction that I have with my life comes from the fact that I really should be living in a small town somewhere where "it's cornbread & chicken and a lotta' front porch sittin." Maybe I've just always been fighting the fact that I'm a small-town type gal and I should be homeschooling a bunch of kids and making jello molds for the church social.
Then my mother pointed out that I was so not that person. She's right, of course. If I lived in a small town where it was all "cornbread & chicken and a lotta' back porch pickin" I would be writing that I'd be happier in a city somewhere with a full time job and no kids.
I'm just tired of everything being the same in my life. I think that I'll start one of these 101 in 1001 days lists. If nothing else, coming up with 101 things might be interesting.

I am with you. All my friends bake break, cook wonderful meals every night and always have something 'just sitting around' if you should drop by for a visit. I am completely the opposite...
